<p>Nine entertaining short stories such as "Roommate": Amadeo is looking for a new home and thinks himself lucky when a friend introduces him to the Vogel family, who have a big house and sometimes rent out rooms to students. The family finds Amadeo likable and he moves in with them. This is also very lucky for the Vogel family, because Amadeo is an uncomplicated, quiet roommate, who is also a wonderful listener and thus becomes a close confidant, especially of Mr. Vogel. His wife, on the other hand, does not seem to be very interested in him until one evening she comes into his room with a glass of wine in hand. She seems to have something on her mind, but when she comes closer to Amadeo, her husband suddenly appears in the room...</p>
